Pupils will learn about key transition points following KS3.

Pupils will learn and practise basic employability skills (speaking, listening, turn-taking).

Pupils will experience at least two visits to a place of work or an employer event.

Pupils will learn about some of the broad jobs that relate to each area of study.

Pupils will discuss their aspirations for the future with a key worker.

Pupils will learn how to make a plan for their future using the Moving Into Adulthood plans.

Pupils will engage in an appropriate volunteering activity.

Pupils will learn about a variety of jobs that relate to different areas in each subject.

Pupils will discuss their aspirations for the future with a key worker.

Pupils will learn about apprenticeships and local providers.

Pupils will refine their Moving Into Adulthood plans.

Pupils will experience visits from post-16 providers and learn about entry criteria.

Pupils will discuss their aspirations for the future with a careers lead.

Pupils will learn about apprenticeships and local providers.

Pupils will refine their Moving Into Adulthood plans.

Pupils will experience visits from post-16 providers and learn about entry criteria.

Woodbridge Road Academy follows the eight principles of the Gatsby Benchmarks (The Gatsby Benchmarks Of Good Career Guidance Published 2014). We regularly review our performance against the benchmarks using the Careers and Enterprise Company evaluation tool Compass. PSHE careers lessons at Woodbridge Road Academy are mapped against the CDI Framework (Published 2020).
